For myself, trying...I find these 10 steps helpful. For myself, trying to break out of any pattern is difficult, so concrete steps are helpful. I especially like the first step of putting myself first. I have always heard that as a parent I need to take care of myself and be happy/ healthy, but this is easier said than done. <br /><br />I also think the concept of not being friends with our kids is important and very true. I think it's too easy for us to "go with the flow" and not really step up to the plate with setting limits for our kids. I believe they need us to set limits and PARENT them. This is not easy to do when we're tired and running around. <br /><br />I think these steps are useful, I'd like to hear more. Thank youSue R.noreply@blogger.com
